Royal Photographic Society Nature Group Exhibition Successes

silver studded blue butterfly The Royal Photographic Society has a number of Special Interest Groups such as Visual Art, Architecture, Nature and Digital. Several members of Field End are also members of the RPS. The Nature Group has its own exhibition of work each year and entries can be made in both prints and digital categories with up to six entries per person.

In order to be accepted in the final exhibition, an entry must receive 12 or more points out of a possible 15. The standard is exceptionally high. In the 2010 Exhibition, Val Walker has gained five acceptances and Mike Walker three acceptances. All were entered as digital images. Amongst those chosen were Val's "Silver Studded Blue" image, seen right, which was recently seen as a print in the final competition of the FEPS season.

caracara with prey Mike's "Caracara with Prey" was also selected and has done very well in FEPS's external competitions this year.
